Before this update, HubSpot's Index pages (the list views you use to browse Contacts, Deals, Companies, and Tickets) and individual Record pages showed data as it was when the page loaded. If a workflow updated a property while you had the page open, if a colleague edited a field, if an integration pushed new data, none of it was visible until you manually refreshed.
That's now gone. This feature rolled out as a public beta in late June 2026 and is expected to reach general availability on June 30, 2026. It applies to all HubSpot accounts with no setup and no opt-in required.
What Actually Changed
Property data on both Index and Record pages now updates in real time as changes occur. Create a new record and it surfaces in your list immediately. Change a deal stage and the pipeline board reflects it on the spot. Update a contact's owner and the record shows the new owner without anyone having to do anything.
HubSpot CRM pages now show live data. No refresh button, no waiting, no stale views. Changes made anywhere, whether by reps, workflows, or integrations, appear on screen as they happen.
This applies across all object types: Contacts, Companies, Deals, Tickets, and custom objects. Whether the change came from a user editing directly in the UI, a workflow action, a custom code step, or an external integration writing via API, it shows up live.
Why It Matters in Practice
If you've used HubSpot heavily for any length of time, you've run into the stale-data problem. You're reviewing your deal pipeline and a close date looks wrong. Was that already updated? You're not sure. You refresh. Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. You've lost your scroll position and your filter state in the process.
Or you're on a call and a colleague updates the contact record with notes from their own conversation. You don't see it. You ask the same questions. Small thing individually, but it happens constantly across large teams.
Before
- Workflow updates a property, nothing changes on screen
- Colleague edits a deal, your pipeline shows old data
- New record created, doesn't appear in your list view
- Integration pushes data, invisible until you reload
- Ownership change, old owner still shown on screen
After
- Workflow update appears immediately on the record
- Deal edits propagate to every open view in real time
- New records surface in list views without a reload
- Integration data shows up live as it's written
- Owner changes reflect instantly on Index and Record pages
For teams doing live pipeline reviews, prospecting board scrubs, or real-time support queues, this is a meaningful quality-of-life improvement. It's the difference between your CRM feeling like a live system versus a snapshot that was accurate when you opened it.
What's Covered
The real-time updates apply broadly across the CRM:
- Index pages: the main table, board, and list views for all object types. New records appear, updated properties refresh, and ownership changes propagate without a reload.
- Record pages: individual Contact, Company, Deal, Ticket, and custom object records. Property panels update live when any source writes a change.
- All HubSpot products: per HubSpot's release notes, this feature applies across Marketing, Sales, Service, and Operations Hub. No specific Hub tier is required.
The One Exception to Know About
There's one carve-out in this release worth knowing: the Report view type on Index pages still requires a manual refresh to see the latest data.
If you use the Report view type (as opposed to the standard table, board, or list layouts) on any Index page, those views don't get real-time updates yet. You'll still need to refresh manually in that specific view mode.
For most teams this is a minor edge case. But if your pipeline review process is built around Report view on the Deals index, keep that in mind until HubSpot ships a follow-on fix.
Everything else, including standard table views, board views, and record pages, behaves as expected with live updates.
A Note on Tracking Those Changes
Real-time display is one thing. Knowing that a change happened, what the value was before, what it became, and when, is a different problem entirely. HubSpot's UI will now show you the current state immediately, but it doesn't give you a change history for most properties out of the box. That's the gap PrevVal fills — it writes previous values back to native HubSpot properties, so change history lives in the CRM instead of a separate log.
That's exactly what PrevVal handles. It listens to HubSpot's Webhooks API and records every property change as it occurs, capturing the previous value, new value, timestamp, and source, then surfaces it directly on each record via a custom CRM card. Whether the change came from a workflow, an integration, or a rep editing inline, PrevVal captures it.
With real-time display now in HubSpot natively, the two complement each other well: you see the current value live on screen, and PrevVal gives you the full timeline of how you got there.
Real-time table updates are enabled automatically for all HubSpot accounts. There's nothing to toggle, no feature to turn on, no admin action required. If you're a HubSpot user, this is already live.
